When creating a design work or project I like to create a digital quilt of the elements. This personal study stems from the project given to me in school (see Typegeist), my familial and individual history with quilting and sewing, and focuses on the effects of patterning. My quilts are created in InDesign, where I work with a template I designed, made up of various sized rectangles, patterned out after the images are placed. The outcomes are always a surprise and can vary even with the slightest movement of one of the images, similar to a kaleidoscope.
